Ali Nekumanesh Fake Cell Calls?
According to the former VP, Hesam Hobab holds the title of President but is just a figurehead, following directions from Mohammad and Ali.
In a rather bizarre allegation, the former COO testified in his deposition that it’s widely suspected within the organization that Ali Nekumanesh fakes cell phone calls with important people, like Senators, to impress those within earshot. According to the story on UnhappyFranchisee.Com:
According to depositions the Deli Delicious lawsuit against franchisees who refuse to downgrade to frozen bread, Ali Nekumanesh is the one who is really in charge of Deli Delicious Franchising Inc. (DDFI). In his deposition, he claims to just consult on a part-time basis, about 10 hours per week. According to both a former VP and former COO, Ali Nekumanesh is extremely hands-on and influential, the right-hand man and translator for CEO Mohammad Hobab (whose English is extremely limited).
[The former COO] revealed that he and other employees regularly observed Ali Nekumanesh making and receiving fake phone calls. In these theatrical calls, Nekumanesh allegedly pretended to discuss important issues with senators, Deli Delicious franchisees or his attorney son when, in fact, no one was on the line…
[He] cited examples of texting a franchisee at the same time Ali was supposedly speaking to him (the franchisee wasn’t on a call with Ali), and employees calling Ali during his fictional phone conversations to show that his phone would ring.
